Student FAQ

What is the age range for children who attend VBS?
We accept children between the ages of 5 and 11 to attend Vacation Bible School (While we make the exception for 12 year olds, for the VBS week, we encourage 12 year olds to join our youth, ages 12-17, Fridays at 6:30pm).
What is the schedule for VBS?
Daily programming will include: morning assembly, Bible hour lessons, craft time, recreation, lunch and closing assembly.
When does VBS begin and end for students?
The pickup and drop off times for Vacation Bible School are as follows:

Drop-Off:
Monday-Friday | 8:00am - 8:30am

Pick-Up:
Monday-Friday | 1:00pm

Graduation Drop-Off:
Friday, August 22nd
Time: TBD
What are the costs to attend VBS?
There is no cost whatsoever to attend Vacation Bible School! It is 100% free.

If you’d like to contribute to help with costs for year’s VBS, please click here!
Will medical professionals be present at VBS?
At VBS, a Medical Crew of registered nurses and/or physicians will be available. They will address minor illnesses and injuries. If a student or volunteer needs urgent medical attention, emergency services will be contacted.
Is there a deadline to register?
It’s advisable your child be completely registered by Monday, August 11th so preparations are complete in time.
Should I pack snacks/lunch for my child?
Lunch and snacks will be provided for all students. However, breakfast will not be provided. Please make sure your child has eaten before arriving to VBS in the mornings.

If parents/guardians opt to pack snacks and lunch for their child, please adhere to our nut-free policy out of consideration for the other children who may have serious allergies.
Can parents/guardians stay on campus during VBS?
Parents are welcome to attend the opening and closing sessions! For the well-being of all children, any visitors or parents wishing to stay for the duration of the day must remain in the main room.
How do I know what group my child will be in?
A week before VBS all students will be officially assigned to the proper class and age group.

Parents and guardians will be made aware of these assignments upon Monday’s check-in. The breakdown is usually as follows:

Ages 5-6: Primary Group
Ages 7-9: Middler Group
Ages 10-11/12: Junior Group
What should my child wear?
Opt for casual attire! Shorts, a t-shirt, and sneakers are ideal as your child will be engaging in active games daily.

As crafts may involve some messiness, it's advisable to dress your child in clothes that can handle a bit of dirt, paint, glitter, glue, etc.
What should my child bring?
Minimize belongings as much as you can. With movement between rooms, unnecessary items can easily be misplaced.
How do I drop off and pick up my child?
Parents and guardians will be directed by our Security and Logistics teams on where to pick up/drop off their children upon arrival.

How can I serve at VBS?
At Vacation Bible School we offer a wide range of meaningful ways to serve throughout the week. Based on your preference and our needs you may serve as…

Counselor: You’ll be assigned to a specific age group to act as a friend and helper throughout the week. Some Counselors may be assigned to lead groups and/or classes, while others will serve as assistants.

Hospitality Team: This team will be responsible for making every area of VBS exciting and inviting! Whether you’re helping serve lunch or decorating a room this role will help make students feel right at home.

Logistics: This behind-the-scenes role assists by making the VBS experience as smooth as possible for all students.

Activity Crew: Your responsibilities will involve assisting in the coordination of daily programming and special events, encompassing music, recreation, arts and crafts, and other activities!

Medical Crew: If you’re a registered nurse, physician or paramedic, you will be on standby to treat any minor injuries a student or volunteer may have.

Security: To ensure the safety of all students and volunteers, this is one of the most important ways you can serve!

Arrival and dismissal time for all volunteers are as follows:

Arrival
Monday-Friday: 8:00am
Dismissal
Monday-Friday: 2:00pm
Can I serve for one day?
For maximum logistical efficiency it is preferred for volunteers to serve the entire week.

If a volunteer cannot serve for the whole week we will assign them to a role with fewer responsibilities.
Is there a deadline to register?
To lock in volunteer roles and daily programming, registration will close a month prior to the start of Vacation Bible School.
Do volunteers receive any training?
Prior to Vacation Bible School, all volunteers will be provided with digital training materials and useful event information during the month preceding the event. It is essential that you read these emails and participate in the in-person training sessions to ensure you are prepared to serve.

Moreover, volunteers are expected to arrive the Monday of VBS (08/18/25) one hour before our students, allowing dedicated time for orientation, practical training, spiritual readiness, and team bonding.
Is there a cost to serving at VBS?
The VBS volunteer shirts are priced at just $15, and wearing them is mandatory as the uniform for the entire week.

Apart from purchasing your shirt, there are no additional costs associated with volunteering.
